Does a light blue lens give real protection? Yes. UV400 protection is built into the lens material during manufacturing — it doesn't depend on colour or opacity. The Targa Ice's sky-blue lens blocks 100% of UVA and UVB even though it's clear. What the colour affects is visible light transmittance, not UV filtering.
Is a tinted lens any good in the sun? The Targa Ice is at its best in moderate light — overcast days, indoors, early morning and late afternoon. For heavy use in strong sun, the clear lens lets through more light than a dark one. It's a style choice made with that trade-off in mind.
Will the smoke-grey acetate yellow over time? Quality translucent acetate goes through UV stabilisation during manufacturing. With the habit of storing in the case and avoiding prolonged sun exposure when not in use, the grey tone stays true for years without losing its translucency.
Will the bevelled shape suit my face? The Targa's geometry is one of the most universally flattering shapes in the range — the bevelled corners soften the structure without losing presence, working well across oval, longer and squarer face types. The moderate frame thickness won't overwhelm any face shape.

  • Always clean the lenses with the included cloth — never paper, a t-shirt, or rough fabric
  • Store in the case when not in use — protects the translucent acetate and clear lens
  • Avoid leaving them on hot surfaces like a car dashboard — the acetate can warp
  • Skip chemical cleaners — clean water and the cloth provided are all you need
  • Always remove with both hands — this stops the frame twisting out of shape
  • If the temples feel loose, take them to an optician for adjustment — don't force them yourself

  • Celave runs on limited production drops — once a piece is gone, it's gone. This is intentional: we'd rather produce fewer things properly than flood the market. If a specific item sells out, it may reappear in a future season but never as a straight restock of the same run.
  • It varies by garment — each product page lists the exact fabric composition. As a rule, we prioritise natural and technical blends that hold structure and age well: cotton-linen mixes, structured wovens, and mid-weight knits. We don't use flimsy synthetic fillers to cut cost.
  • Always follow the care label inside the garment. For most pieces: cold machine wash, inside out, gentle cycle. Avoid tumble drying where possible — air drying preserves shape and fabric integrity far longer. Linen blends especially benefit from a light iron while slightly damp.
